Chaldea the Mysterious

*Disclaimer: This essay is all speculation, not meant to be taken as history, truth or anything of the sort...just the ruminating of a fellow seeker.*
For some reason, all this talk of Jesus in these forums has made me think of Chaldea. The three wise men were from there, weren't they? The star-gazers... the readers of the sky. And this then leads me to consider the star of Bethlehem, and wonder at the mysterious and otherworldly events that affect humanity. It Fills me with a sense of wonder...which is after all our birthright-- just as much as our sense of justice, dignity or pride.
I've also read that Abraham from the Bible was a Chaldean and a renowned Astrologer in his own right.
Astrology and religion...not supposed to mix. The Bible says to stay away from magic, the magic arts. Supposedly it is an affront to God. But I have never been able to stay away. Magic to me, is the essence of God! It fascinates and intruges and has power. And I think there is more to it than meets the eye. In my mind, anything that brings a sense of mystery and awe to our lives is a good thing. It allows us access to that part of our brain that gets ignored in the day to day machinations of just getting by. And somehow, Astrology, ancient beliefs and the Bible all go together beautifully.
Chaldea...even the name is magic. The Hebrew name for ancient Chaldeans was Kasdim.
Who Are the Chaldeans?
The country of Chadea was an ancient land in southern Babylonia, on the Persian Gulf near the delta of the Tigris and Euphrates rivers. In biblical times the name was applied to all of Babylonia. As far as can be traced, the Chaldeans themselves descend from Shem's son, Arphaxad, who is also an ancestor of Abraham and Israel.

Here is the connection to Abraham! This supports the theory that he was a man knowledgable in the magic arts. For back in those days, I believe the connection to the Divine was much more pronounced...much more a part of everyday life. And I believe a leader would have been chosen because of his magical powers.
"The Chaldeans were called stargazers, for they knew the sun was Lord of the World and they looked upon the stars as living beings. Their knowledge of astronomy was astonishing, and their knowledge of astrology, which related humanity to the universe, was far-reaching and profound. Nearly every world religion shows the influence of astrology in both its spiritual and physical aspects."
Not so far-fetched to assume that Abraham would carry these beliefs, and that our true heritage lies in out great forgotten connection to the universe.
I'm going to veer off the map a little bit now and share some esoteric thoughts which also connect Abraham to the Divine magic...
This information comes from a woman named Barbara Hand Clow. She is an astrologer and spiritual teacher from rural New England and she mentions Abraham in her book 'The Pleiadian Agenda'.
According to Clow, "Abraham came to implant an element into earth that would access the elemental stellar mind. He implanted radiation into the central Temple, called Ur. This act placed stellar codes into the genetic matrix of humans on earth, and that is why Abraham is revered as the great father.
The element he carried was uranium and it came out of the earth from deep deep below Ur. Uranium was to be used for the depostion of male consiousness in order to begin a new level of control on earth. It works because uranium sticks emotions in your bodies, and they run amok and become cancerous. Thus, at the opening of the Age of Aries began the stream of patriarchal consciousness that enlaves us now. During the Age of Aries war and control were appropriate. They are not appropriate now."
Sounds kooky and wild, huh? Well, I would like to take a minute now and relate this information to my first hub, which was about Ophiucus-- the lost sign of the Zodiac.
Ophiucus was known in far ancient times as The Snake Goddess. At the very beginnings of human history, the Goddess reigned supreme. We were hunter-gathers and followed the seasons and the sky. War was not known. I believe that when male energy came into dominance and Apollo took over the Lexicon as God supreme, Ophiucus was removed from prominance in the sky and removed from our knowledge base here on earth. In other words, when we passed into the Age of Aries, female energy was replaced with male energy and we have been acting out this power-shift ever since here on earth. Clow's work seems to support this idea, because she states that we are now entering the Age of Aquarius, which is female energy, and things are going to change.
Clow says, "These behavioral patterns that you struggle with due to the uranium, hold you back from adoring the Goddess. Those who remember how to adore the goddess will be doing the most important energetic work done from now unitl 2012!" She goes on to say "Our sexuality is our most beautiful form of expression. It is a source of ancient love and knowledge about species that needs regeneration."
Just something to think about. And here's something else to think about: Presidents Obama and Medvedev have just signed an agreement to lessen the nuclear influence here on Earth! Could it be the female-energy influence of Aquarius?
We now come to someone whom you would never associate with such outlandish talk; Nancy Reagan! But she was well-known to guide her husband's decisions based on the tenents of Astrology. And at the time, many people found this curious and called her "out there", but she was only following the ancient knowledge of our forebearers and accepting the wisom to be found in Divine magic. Perhaps she, like the Chaldeans,"regard the world as eternal, with no beginning or end, and the Sun, Moon, and planets as interpreters by which human beings might know and execute the will of God. Upon considering the regularity of the motions of the celestial bodies, they infer that such objects are either intelligent beings or are controlled by some guiding intelligence. The heavenly host is not worshipped as God (whom they regard as far above the level of mundane concern), but as ambassadors or mediators between God and humanity."
Makes perfect sense to me. And who can deny that mediation when it comes to the birth of Jesus Christ? The event of his birth here on Earth was paralleled in the sky by a bright, shining star. And the knowledge of this fortuitous event was divined by knowing the stars.
*Wise men definition
mentioned in Dan. 2:12 included three classes, (1) astrologers, (2) Chaldeans, and (3) soothsayers. The word in the original (hakamim) probably means "medicine men. In Chaldea medicine was only a branch of magic. The "wise men" of Matt. 2:7, who came from the East to Jerusalem, were magi.*
"The three bright stars in his belt are the three Wise Men who came from the East to offer gifts to the newborn King. These gifts were the new-old ideas incorporated into the teachings of Jesus, such as "love ye one another," "overcome evil with good," and "your Father and my Father are one," In the north are the two stars known to the Arabs as Martha and Mary. So are the starry heavens related to the great story."
What a beautiful story to base a religion on. And what a magical story as well. For we forget the Divine and the magical in our everyday lives, only because we fail to notice! It is always there, from the blooming of a new bud on a tree, to the illustrious majesty of the sky, to the industrious regiment of a tiny tiny ant. The Divine and magical are everywhere around us if we would but see.
*One last note: "Chaldean Language : Their language is assumed to be Aramaic." Aramaic was the original language of the Bible, and assumed to be the language that Jesus spoke!*

Amazing, I have just been visiting someone in psych ward and when I visited the other day, there was a lady there who said something about the wise men. I had had a bizarre drive that morning and had been looking at the sky and for some reason thought about the wise men and had bought a small crystal that linked to the middle east and the vibration of the wise men and the stars.
I gave the crystal to this woman. I miss the crystal a bit, as I could not get another one when I went back to where I bought it from. Yet I know this woman was meant to have it.
Ive also had a book blessed recently as some bizarre vibrations seemed to be present around them.
And in doing this I have also met merlin magic. I could feel him. It was quite an amazing experience. I feel the vibration and he finds the crystal for me that will heal whatever I have been walking or connecting to. Magic is also non religious and alot of the vibrations I ve been working on have related to child abuse, so merlin energy is perfect for this.
Oh, and on uranium, geothermal seems to be the way to go. Which is a water based energy. Gentler and less harmful.
Seems youve covered almost everything here. I have to learn more about the snake goddess.
I enjoyed this and interesting connections. I have learned something this evening.
Daniel, after interpretation of future became the chief of all "wise man" in Babylon. He knew the Bible and he knew living God. He was the teacher of wise man.
Abraham was born in Ur. He was pagan, moon Shin worshiper until God found him. To free him from Chaldean's paganism God told him to go out even from his family and go to the place He will show him. To "show him" purpose was to build faith and not to gazing stars. In paradise the sin was sin of broken faith, which must be restored.
Promotion of leadership by woman is dream of Illuminates and subsequently communists.

Detroit has the largest Chaldean-American community outside of Iraq. They are a hard working, well-assimilated immigrant group.
